As WPC's Operations Director, Braden oversees WPC's financial reporting, government compliance, human resources, and office management. He holds the title for longest serving employee at about 22 and a half years after starting at WPC fresh out of college as our Administrative Manager. Having seen so much growth over that time, Braden really understands that WPC is stewarding its resources to improve Washington’s future.
Braden traces his interest in free-markets principles to the third grade when he didn’t know what the free-market was. The class assignment was to prepare for a debate centered around the issues related to the presidential election. He remembers reviewing his talking points with his dad regarding tax policy and national defense. He realized that he resembled Alex P. Keaton, if you know, you know!
Braden holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. A Texas native, Braden longs for Blue Bell ice cream, Tex-Mex and barbeque even after living in the Pacific Northwest for more than 20 years. When not at the office, Braden enjoys spending time outside, especially playing family wiffleball in the front yard with his wife and three boys. His newest passion is working out in the gloom of the PNW mornings with the men his fitness group. Braden and his family live in Seattle.
