Tis the season to eat, drink, and be merry this holiday season at our YP Seattle Holiday Party! Join us for a fun, festive event on Tuesday, December 12th from 6pm-8pm. Enjoy food, drinks, and forming new connections with fellow young professionals. We will be joined by Andrea Suarez, We Heart Seattle founder, who will share the important work her nonprofit is doing for our city and how we can all get involved. Then, we'll hear from Liv Finne, WPC's top education policy expert, who will provide us a recap of all things education policy in 2023. There is something for everyone at this event!
Tickets are free for WPC, YP members, and college students. Non-member tickets are $12/person. Children and teens (under 18) attend free! This event is family friendly and all ages are welcome. We hope to see you as we wrap up an amazing year!

Meet the Speakers:
Andrea Suarez
Founder, We Heart Seattle
In September of 2020 Andrea founded We Heart Seattle, an action based movement for a more beautiful and safe Seattle for all to enjoy. Through civic engagement the nonprofit organization leads the way in restoring public safety, property values, and supporting the homeless to access services including drug treatment.
The organization has achieved astonishing results by organizing volunteer led community litter picks which to date has resulted in 875,000 pounds of garbage removed and 175 people supported off the street.
Liv Finne
Education Center Director, WPC
Liv Finne is the Director of the Center for Education at Washington Policy Center. She is the author of An Option for Learning: An Assessment of Student Achievement in Charter Public Schools, which in 2011 reignited the charter school debate in Washington state. She wrote many publications during the 2012 public debate on Initiative 1240, the nation’s first charter school initiative. When charter schools came under attack from the state teachers union, she wrote “Analysis: Why the state supreme court ruling against charter schools is wrong.” She is also the author of Washington Policy Center's widely-read education blog, and of Washington Policy Center’s Education Reform Plan: Eight Practical Ways to Improve Public Schools. Liv holds a law degree from Boston University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wellesley College. She retired from civil litigation practice to raise two children and work as business partner for a small business she owns with her husband. Liv is committed to improving public schools by expanding school options for all parents, regardless of their zip code, including charter schools, vouchers, online and other innovations in
