About the Author
It was just a short time ago, I was proud to announce that my wife Eleanor and I would be leading Washington Policy Center’s efforts to promote free-market policy in Eastern Washington. Now, an unexpected, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity has come up which requires me to step down from this task so that I can be free to consider what course is best for me and my family.
It was a great honor for me to be chosen by WPC and I do not take this step lightly. WPC has always been important and inspirational to me. Its work informed my first campaigns for office and the information they provided was invaluable to me as a state senator. Its research and ideas gave me insight into how our government worked and how it could be improved, and I remain an enthusiastic believer in Washington Policy Center and its work.
I look forward to supporting WPC in any way I can, attending WPC events, and reading their research and analysis that gives me information and perspective about our state I can’t get anywhere else. I’m also pleased to note that Eleanor will be staying on to offer her expertise to assist and advise.
Let me close by thanking the board, staff and supporters of Washington Policy Center for being so welcoming and understanding at this unusual time.
Washington Policy Center will continue to accomplish big things and I look forward to what they accomplish and discover next.
